Soliloquy on "Thinking"
Do you ever wonder what goes through the minds of some people? Do you ever wonder if they really thought through what it is they are doing? I know I do. (BTW--I am sure my wife and kids have thought that about me a time or two, so don't get your knickers in a twist and start whining about how I am criticizing the "ignernt" people out there that don't know any better).
So many times what seems like a good idea turns out to not be one. This picture was an elementary school project. Hmm...I don't think this one turned out quite the way it was intended.
Or how about the old redneck joke that starts with: "Hold my beer and watch this!" I am sure there is little that is good that comes after that phrase.
So...all that being said, this is a plea for everyone out there to slow down and do some thinking. It's okay not to be going a 100 miles a minute and creating a $hi# storm of activity. In all actuality it's probably better if you don't. So much of that activity is pointless and simply caters to your own bloated idea of self-importance, and just tends to piss off those around you.
My recommendation: slow down, grab an ice tea or a cold beer, sit your big bahookey on the porch and do some cogitatin'.
And for those of you who have already slowed down (congratulations) but aren't doing any thinkin' (really?), turn the damn TV off! Then... grab an
